2012 saw The Stallion Company sires achieve huge success with three Olympic and Paralympic offspring taking three gold medals, including the stunning victory by Kannan’s Nino des Buissonets (Steven Guerdat) in the individual jumping and Rubicell’s FBW Rainman taking double dressage gold. As result, Kannan is now the WBFSH #2 jumping sire. As we continue our transition from agent to owner, we have bought Odermus R (world #93 jumping sire) and Clinton II (Asian Games silver medallist) taking us to 8 owned stallions in just over three years. Five of these have been or are ranked in the top 100 sires in their sport in 2011 or 2012. Of three that haven’t been (yet!) one is a World Champion, another was 4th in the Olympics!
We try to give the best breeding conditions possible to our breeders, as well as the best quality semen. Our belief in using stallions that have actually performed in the sport and produced via their youngstock is borne out by our 2012 vintage.
Kannan being announced as the 2011 WBFSH #5 jumping and #8 eventing sire in the world, was a major triumph for us and we firmly believe that we will make the #1 position in the next three years. With Kannan, Rubicell and Esteban, we have become the world’s leading eventign sire owners, and that’s before we mention Grafenstolz who smashed the UK breeding Futurity competition in 2010 and 2011, with record Elite scores (for the second year) and the overall #1 sire position across all disciplines, as well as the UK champion eventing foal (and 2nd and 3rd), the champion Yearling and five year old. Royaldik has a tough act to follow, but his genetics are impeccable with his mother being the full sister of WBFSH #1 eventing sire Heraldik and his father being the full brother of WBFSH #3 dressage sire Rhodiamant. What a package! Esteban xx is the world’s highest ranked thoroughbred (living) in any discipline in 2011.
At Christmas we bought Parco, who is one of the legends of the jumping sport, destined for top 100 status in 2012.
We have a network of professional agents around the world, including Australia, USA, South America, and most of the European countries.
