The Stallion Company has bought the thoroughbred stallion Esteban, From Viktory Stables in Belgium.
Esteban currently stands at Zuchthof Roxforde, and he will stay there for the rest of the 2011 breeding season, before coming to the UK in time to be presented at Burghley.
Esteban will stand in the UK as the only Holsteiner approved thoroughbred in the country. In fact he is also fully approved with Hanover, Selle Francais, Trakehner, BWP and SBS. Thus, no other thoroughbred stallion in the UK or Ireland can boast such credibility.
In terms of his production, Esteban already has a Badminton runner in Elektron (Nick Gauntlett), and after the great Heraldik was the most represented stallion in the 2010 eventing Bundeschampionat.
Germany have been breeding super eventers in the last decade, using thoroughbreds such as esteban, this will be the UK's opportunity to use a proven thoroughbred, who comes with the seal of approval from 5 of the world's most credible studbooks.
There isn't a thoroughbred stallion in the UK with his movement and jump, which based on their performance, is evidently passed on to his offspring.
